'Twilight' a aidé Summit Entertainment à multiplier par cinq ses revenus en 2 ans.

Les revenus de Summit Entertainment ont été multipliés par plus de 5 entre 2008 et 2010 grâce au succès important des trois films "Twilight" , selon un dossier de régulation diffusé par les nouveaux dirigeants du studio, Lions Gate Entertainment.

Faisant partie de la présentation aux potentiels acheteurs de Summit, qui était autrefois une compagnie privée , Lions Gate a dévoilé les résultats financiers de Summit pour la 1ère fois.

Ils montrent qu'à partir de 2008, l'année de la sortie au cinéma du 1er "Twilight" et jusqu'en 2010, les revenus de Summit ont grimpé en flèche , passant de $211.6 million à $1.15 milliard. Le studio basé à Santa Monica est aussi passé de pertes nettes allant jusqu'à $85.3-million en 2008à un profit de $352.2 million deux ans plus tard.

En 2009, quand le 1er "Twilight" est sorti en DVD et que "New Moon" est sorti au cinéma, Summit a fait un profit de $145.1 million pour des revenus globaux de $722.1 million.

2010 a été une année particulièrement bonne pour Summit car non seulement "Eclipse," sortait au cinéma, mais ce film et "New Moon" sont aussi sortis en DVD. Les Studios ont fait le plus gros de leur profit grâce au ventes et aux locations.

Pour les 9 premiers mois de 2011, l'année où Lions Gate a commencé à publier les données, les revenus de Summit ont plongé à $331.3 million et ses revenus nets n'étaient que de $14.7 million. Cependant, pendant cette période, il n'y a pas eu de sorties de films ou DVD "Twilight".

Le 4ème film "Twilight" est sorti en novembre dernier et le 5ème et dernier épisode de la saga populaire vampirique sortira en novembre prochain.

how did you feel about working with the cast?

At first I was super intimidated, really. I totally was. You’re walking into this preexisting family. They’ve already done three films and there is a bunch of other new people. Some people were not phased but I was intimidated. But after three or four days of getting to know everyone I was just over the moon. They totally made me comfortable. The new cast, basically the Denali people, I love all of them so much. We are so close. I still see them and still hang out with them. We all really bonded and had a really lovely connection with each other.

Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob?

I am team Bill Condon ! They forced me today to answer earlier so the cat is out of the bag. I’m Team Edward.

What is it like to work with a cast that has been together for so long?

They were a tight knit family. Again, there was so many of us because of all the new characters that its not like you walk on and say “oh look, there are the Cullens” because there was a whole mess of people you had to get to know. Honestly, there were so many people I was to busy being nervous to sit there and say, “there’s a Cullen!”

Success of ‘Breaking Dawn, Part 2’ Depends on Robsten Staying Together

As a faithful Twilight fan, it’s kind of pathetic and inexcusable that I just saw Breaking Dawn for the first time this past weekend. (Gasp!) And I wish I had a good excuse for why it took me so long to arrive at Bella and Edward’s wedding — but I really don’t. I guess my invitation got lost in the mail or something like that.

I may have been fashionably late to the Breaking Dawn party, but I still found myself tearing up like every other Twilight-loving suburban mom when Bella walked down the aisle and saw Edward standing there waiting to make her his eternal bride. OMG. How incredible is their love story? And how awesome is it that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are getting it on in real life too?

Shhh — don’t you dare say that they aren’t the real deal (Emmett, er, Kellan Lutz says they’re “madly in love,” and I believe him). They totally are. They HAVE to be. And if Robert and Kristen ever split, it will ruin the whole Twilight experience for obsessed people like me.

Let’s put this into perspective. Do you remember how you felt when you watched The Notebook for the twentieth time and got all sappy and emotional because you were just so distraught over the fact that Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams had broken up off-screen? It was horrible. And as much as I hate to admit it — it changed the way the film felt somehow. It’s almost like it was just way harder to believe that two people could find their way back into each other’s arms after being apart for so long. If Noah and Allie couldn’t make it work, then how are regular people like us supposed to do it? Doesn’t anybody get a happy ending?

Ok — now take that feeling and multiply it by about a thousand. Imagine going back through all of the films starting with the original Twilight, and watching Bella and Edward’s story progress from him pushing her out of the way of a speeding car to her almost dying while trying to push out their half-human, half-vampire baby. And now try and imagine watching those moments all while knowing that Robert and Kristen had just broken up, and the news was already going crazy with reports of their obvious attempts to avoid each other on the red carpet at the premiere of Breaking Dawn 2. Holy Toledo. Can you even imagine how devastated fans would be? It would be an outrage!

I really just can’t take anymore. I’d better just go ahead and stop talking about a possible Robsten breakup before I upset myself further and smudge my mascara.

Qu'avez-vous ressenti en travaillant avec les acteurs ?

Au début, j'étais super intimidée, vraiment. Je l'étais totalement. Vous débarquez au sein de cette "famille" qui existe déjà. Ils ont déjà fait trois films et il y a tout un tas de nouvelles personnes. Certaines personnes n'ont pas été intimidées, mais je l'étais. Mais ay bout de trois, quatre jours à faire connaissance avec tout le monde, j'étais aux anges. Ils m'ont totalement mise à l'aise. Les nouveaux membres du casting, en gros les Denali, je les adore vraiment tous. Nous sommes très proches. Je les vois encore et il m'arrive de faire des sorties avec eux. Nous avons vraiment créés des liens entre nous et on s'est vraiment rapprochés les uns des autres

Êtes-vous "Team Edward" ou "Team Jacob" ?

Je suis "Team Bill Condon" ! On m'a déjà obligée à répondre aujourd'hui à cette question donc j'ai craché le morceau. Je suis "Team Edward".

Qu'est-ce que ça fait de travailler avec des acteurs qui sont ensembles depuis si longtemps ?

Ils formaient une famille soudée. D'un autre côté, il y avait beaucoup de nouveaux acteurs pour les nouveaux personnages. Du coupvous n'étiez pas du genre à arriver en disant "Oh regarde, ce sont les Cullen", parce qu'il y avait un foule de personnes que vous deviez apprendre à connaître. Honnêtement, il y avait tellement de monde que je devais être trop occupée à stresser pour rester plantée là et me dire "il y a un Cullen !".
