'Eclipse' Star Jackson Rathbone Recalls Being Sent To Hospital By Kellan Lutz

He and Kellan Lutz were practicing a scene in the film in which Jasper is teaching Emmett how to battle newborn vampires, and an accidental punch from Kellan caught Jackson in the temple and ended up with him being sent to the hospital. "Kellan and I were going over our moves — we hadn't had any time to rehearse — and we were out in mud, so it was really slick and everything," Jackson recalled to MTV News. "He punched too low, and I didn't duck low enough. He caught me right in the temple, kind of knocked me for a loop. I didn't fall, but I was kind of out of it for the next couple takes."

Lucky for Jackson, he happened to have a comrade on set who noticed he was acting a little weird. "My agent happened to be on set and was trying to talk to me apparently during the takes, and I wasn't listening or I wasn't really aware of what was happening," he said. "He was like, 'I think Jackson's kind of thrown for a loop. We should get him checked out.' Apparently, I wasn't speaking in full sentences, and I had a mild concussion. So they sent me to the hospital to get my brain checked out."

The star said that he was back at work by 5 am the next morning. "I heal quickly, you know. I'm like Wolverine, back in a jiffy," he joked. The irony of it all is that while working on "The Last Airbender," which required months of Kung Fu training and highly choreographed fight scenes, he wasn't injured — yet, on the set of the "Twilight" movie, one little punch sent him to the hospital.

"I'm glad it wasn't a sword!" he said with a laugh, adding, "Hey, getting hit by a guy like Kellan and not falling down? I'm pretty happy with that." Sounds like he was pretty lucky after all.

Heureusement pour Jackson, un de ses amis sur le plateau a vu qu'il se comportait bizarrement "Mon agent se trouvait sur la plateau et il essayait de me parle pendant les prises , mais je n'écoutais pas ou plutôt je n'entendais pas," dit . "Il disait , 'Je pense que Jackson est un peu dans les vapes. On ferait bien d'aller vérifier que tout va bien .' Apparement , je ne faisais pas de phrases complètes et j'ai eu une contusion . Donc ils m'ont envoyé à l'hôpital pour faire un scanner. ."

Il dit avoir été de retour le lendemain à 5h du matin . "Je guéris rapidement , vous savez . Je suis comme Wolverine, de retour en un rien de temps ," plaisante t il . Ce qui est ironique c'est que pour "The Last Airbender," qui a nécessité des mois d'entrainement au Kung Fu et des scènes de combats chorégraphiés , il ne s'est pas blessé ..

"Heureusement que ce n'était pas une épée !" dit il en riant , "Hey, recevoir un coup de poing de Kellan et ne pas tomber ? Je suis ravi de ça ." On dirait qu'il a eu de la chance. .

Robert Pattinson: He’s a lover and a fighter

The love stuff comes easy to Robert Pattinson by now. What the actor’s most worried about is how his fight scenes with bigger, brawnier Taylor Lautner will look in the third Twilight movie, Eclipse.

Grisly deaths plague Seattle. Vampires fight werewolves. Vampires and werewolves unite to battle, um, badder vampires.

Apparently, the filmmakers are doing all they can to make Eclipse, the third movie in the Twilight saga, appealing to boys. But we all know this series is really about the relationship between dreamy vampire Edward Cullen and his human love, Bella. And the core female audience should have plenty to moon over when the second sequel hits screens this month, just seven months after the last entry, New Moon. out.

“In New Moon, Edward tries to deal with the relationship and, sort of, fails,” Robert Pattinson, who plays Cullen, says in an L.A. interview. “In Eclipse, it really is the everyday rigmarole of having a relationship, and dealing with jealousy and pettiness.”

Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella, says it’s not that simple. After all, her character is still torn between Edward and the feelings she has for her lifelong friend, Native American lycanthrope Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). “Bella now has to actually be able to stand up and say, okay, so maybe every choice isn’t completely impulsive,” explains Stewart in a separate L.A. interview. “Maybe there are different levels of love, and maybe my ideological views of what I think you are to me are wrong, and maybe I could look at somebody else.”

That said, it still seems Eclipse offers more for the guys than just a good bet the movie will put their dates in a romantic mood. The film was directed by David Slade, who last time out made the gory vampire action thriller 30 Days of Night. Slade is, perhaps, a bit more attuned to what men want than Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke (The Nativity Story) and Chris Weitz (About a Boy, The Golden Compass), who helmed New Moon.

“Different worlds collide in this one,” says Stewart. “We make it more dangerous every time.”

This time out, the lissome, ethereal-looking Pattinson has to get more physical with the pumped-up Lautner, and he just hopes audiences buy their fight scenes.

“There is a bunch of fighting,” says the 24-year-old Brit. “In the most simplistic of ways, trying to be intimidating to Taylor is just physically humiliating. In one scene, I tried to grab him and his shoulder was too big! That was embarrassing.”

While physical strength may not be Pattinson’s, well, strength, he does have an uncanny ability to brood and smoulder in a way that drives the ladies nuts. But while it works well on-screen, that low-key nature can also come off as aloof, even falsely self-deprecating, off-screen. And Pattinson’s the first one to admit it.

“The problem is, mainly, that I’m really finicky about looking pretentious for some reason,” he says. “I think, because I haven’t done too much work and I’ve become so, kind of, big, people have a hyper-judgment of you. I always thought the best way to deal with that is just to kind of play down everything. But I never saw the result of that being people saying, ‘Why can’t you just shut up? We’re so sick of the humble act. When’s he going to stop pretending to be humble?’”

As of this article’s writing, it had yet to be decided whether Stephenie Meyer’s fourth and final "Twilight" novel, "Breaking Dawn", would be made into one or two films. Either way, production should start in Vancouver (where New Moon and Eclipse were shot) this fall. “British Columbia is great,” says Pattinson. “Everybody always talks about how easy it is to make movies in Vancouver because no one cares if anyone’s around. And it really was like that with New Moon. It was so easy, there was never any hassle about going out or anything. But it changed a little bit on the third one. “But,” he adds, “there are a bunch of nice restaurants in Vancouver, and it’s a really cool city.”

The pair views the impending end of the film series with mixed feelings. On the plus side, it will likely put the brakes on the intrusive tabloid scrutiny they’ve endured. So far, at least, Twihard fans have expressed little interest in Stewart and Pattinson’s non-saga movies (like The Runaways and Remember Me, respectively), and the paparazzi will likely thin out once they have nothing left to obsess over, such as those still unproven rumours of a real-life romance between the handsome pair.

Then again, they may not know what to do — or what they’ll be able to do — when the post-Breaking break comes.

“I think it’s good that I’ve just been working this whole time,” Pattinson says of the past two years. “You don’t go out and do that much when you’re shooting anyway, because you’re just so tired all the time. So it hasn’t been that incapacitating. But it’s been difficult to figure out where to live and stuff; I mean, the idea of getting a house… If people are always waiting outside your home, then you might as well sell it.

“And I miss just randomly dropping into clubs and playing music,” adds the actor, who pursued a recording career before moviemaking proved more lucrative. “That’s annoying. But really, you can still do anything you want to do; it’s just the fear of judgment afterward.”

In keeping, perhaps, with her screen persona, Stewart, now 20, sounds more torn about the series’ conclusion.

“The interesting thing about wanting it to come to an end is not because you want the experience of it to end,” Stewart says. “The experience that I get from it is so different from what press and media or fans or whatever see. I actually get to make the movies. Most of the questions I hear are about how specifically my life has changed because of that, but that’s really sort of extra. I didn’t know that that was going to happen. I’ve never had more opportunity in my life and I’ve worked really hard for it. So I’m really grateful.”

As for Eclipse, Stewart says that, whether they’re seeking monster action or are hungry for unattainable love, viewers are in for a taste of — believe it or not — reality.

“It matures, basically,” she says. “It takes a really ideal story and makes it a little more cerebral. It’s like, so what if you actually had to do this? It takes away the fantasy element a little bit and shows you that it’s not so, sort of, dreamy.”

Apparemment les réalisateurs font tout pour qu' Eclipse attire les garçons . Mais nous savons tous que la saga se focalise sur le beau Edward Cullen et son amour pour l'humaine Bella. Et les filles seront ravies car cette suite ne sort que 6 mois après New Moon.

“Dans New Moon, Edward tente de faire face à cette relation et il échoue ,” dit Robert Pattinson, dans une interview à L.A. . “Dans Eclipse, il doit gérer quotidiennement cette relation et gérer aussi la jalousie et la mesquinerie.”

Kristen Stewart dit que ce n'est pas aussi simple . Après tout son personnage est déchirée entre Edward et les sentiments qu'elle éprouve pour son ami de longue date Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). “Bella peut enfin se relever et se dire que son choix n'a pas à être compulsif ,” explique Stewart dans une autre interview à LA . “Peut être il y a différents niveaux d'amour , et peut être ce que je perçois est faux , et peut être que je peux trouver quelqu'un d'autre.”

Il semblerait qu' Eclipse ait plus à ouvrir aux hommes . Le film a été réalisé par David Slade, qui a fait 30 Days of Night. Slade est peut être mieux placé pour savoir ce que veulent les hommes par rapportà Catherine Hardwicke (The Nativity Story) et Chris Weitz (About a Boy, The Golden Compass), qui a réalisé New Moon.

“Différents mondes se retrouvent dans ce film ,” dit Stewart. “C'est de plus en plus dangereux .”

Cette fois ci le beau Pattinson a dû être plus physique face à Lautner,et il espère que le public appréciera ses scènes de lutte


“Il y a pas mal de bagarres ,” dit le jeune anglais de 24 ans . “De la manière la plus simple je dois affronter Taylor et physiquement c'est humiliant . Dans une scène , je tente de l'attraper mais son épaule est trop grosse ! C'était embarrassant.”

Si la force physique n'est pas l'atout de Pattinson, il sait être mélancolique et à apparaître sexy au point de rendre les filles folles . Cela marche fort bien à l'écran , mais cette nature réservée le faire passer pour une personne distante qui se dénigre hors caméra. Et Pattinson est le 1er à l'admettre.

“Le problème , c'est que je fais très attention à ne pas paraitre trop prétentieux ,” dit il . “Je pense que cela est dû au fait que j'ai fait peu de films et que tout à coup le succès fut su important , les gens vous jugent plus que d'autres .J'ai toujours pensé que le meilleur moyen de faire face à ça , c'est de faire profil bas .Mais le résultat c'est qu'on ne m'a pas encore dit , ‘Tu pourrais pas la fermer ? On en a marre de ton humilité . Quand va t il cesse de faire comme s'il était humble?’”

A l'heure actuel , on ne sait toujours pas si "Breaking Dawn" sera fait en un ou deux films films. La production devrait se faire à Vancouver cet automne . “La British Columbia est géniale ,” dit Pattinson. “Tout le monde dit toujours que c'est aisé de tourner des films à Vancouver car tout le monde se fiche de ce qui se passe . ET c'était ainsi pour New Moon. C'était si facile, on pouvait sortir comme on voulait . Mais cela a changé un peu avec Eclipse. “Mais ,” ajoute t il , “il y a des tas de restaurants sympa à Vancouver, et c'est une ville vraiment cool.”

Le duo voit la fin de la saga de façon différente . Du côté des points positifs, cela mettra peut être fin à la folie des paparazzis .Jusqu'ici les fans de Twilight ne se sont que peu intéressés aux autres films de Stewart Pattinson comme The Runaways et Remember Me, et les paparazzi se calmeront quand ils n'auront plus rien à épier , comme cette prétendue histoire d'amour entre les deux stars .

Mais ils ne savent peut être pas quoi faire — ou ce qu'ils pourront faire — après Breaking Dawn


“Je pense que c'est une bonne chose que j'ai travaillé non stop ,” dit Pattinson en parlant des 2 dernières années . “Vous ne sortez pas car quand vous tournez le soir , vous êtes trop fatigué . Donc ce n'est pas un handicap mais je me suis posé des questions sur où aller vivre et d'autres choses ;ne serait ce qu'acheter une maison … Si les gens vous attendent sans cesse en bas de chez vous ,alors mieux vaut la vendre.

“ET ça me manque de ne plus pouvoir aller dans des bars et y jouer de la musique ,” ajoute l'acteur qui voulait une carrière musicale avant de se rendre compte que la comédie est plus rentable . “C'est ennuyeux , on peut encore faire ce qu'on veut mais il y a cette peur d'être jugé.”

Stewart semble être plus partagée sur la fin de Breaking Dawn

“Le plus intéressant ce n'est pas juste d'y mettre un terme parce qu'on en a envie ,”dit Stewart . “L'expérience que j'en retire est si différente de ce que pense les médias ou les fans . Je peux faire des films . La plupart des questions qu'on me pose concerne les changements dans ma vie , mais ce n'est que du plus . Je ne m'y attendais pas. Je n'ai jamais eu plus d'opportunités et j'ai travaillé si dur pour ça. . Donc je suis très reconnaissante.”

Quant à Eclipse, Stewart dit que peu importe ce qui est recherché ; de l'action ou de l'amour, le public veut du réel

“C'est en fait plus mature,” dit elle . “On part d'une histoire idéale qui devient plus cérébrale . On se dit et si je devais le faire ?Le fantastique est effacé et on voit que ce n'est pas si fantastique que ça .”

It’s hard to believe, but one of the summer’s biggest movies is only 30 days away from opening. No, it’s not “Inception,” that’s in July. And, no, it’s not “Toy Story 3,” that hits theaters in less than three weeks. Nope, it’s the third installment of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” and unlike a few other franchises this summer, this is one flick that won’t underperform. It doesn’t hurt there is a growing fanbase that is salivating at the prospect of watching the most action packed of Stephenie Meyer’s novels hit the big screen (not to mention IMAX screen) and the fact the next “Twilight” film won’t hit theaters until November 2011. And the closer it gets to opening, the more the media (HitFix included) will focus on the “Eclipse” that will occur over the July 4th weekend.
