Après la séance de snowboard, nous n'allons pas le mentionner, il a 2 semaines de tournage pour New moon. Mais la dessus il est assez détendu et confiant.

Get the inside goss on Twilight from Kellen Lutz who plays Emmet Cullen in the movie. What does the guy who plays the most cheeky and fearless of all the Cullen's have to say about his character, Rob and Kristen and behind the scenes stories?... Plus how you can meet the man himself in Sydney!...

WHAT IS THE OVERALL STORY OF TWILIGHT?
It's an action romance type of Romeo and Juliet story between a mortal and an immortal. It's the battle of love between the human girl and the vampire, and throughout that quest for that ultimate love, there’s bad things that happen.

WHAT WILL AUDIENCES ENJOY ABOUT THE FILM?
I think they will enjoy a lot of stuff, the film really goes to a lot of different levels, there's a lot of action for the guys, so me being an action junkie we do a lot of cool actions scenes! For the romantic group, it's a love story like Romeo and Juliet between Bella and Edward. It never really gets dull, it's a rollercoaster.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER
I play Emmet Cullen, he's kind of like the big brother in the family, he really sees being immortal and being a vampire as a positive, unlike the other vampire family members who don't really. I mean they enjoy it in some aspects but Edward's really sentimental and wishes he could die or wishes he could be mortal again that’s why he doesn't want to change Bella. I'm the big goofy brother who likes to pick fights and just a have fun being a vampire.

WHAT WAS IT LIKE PLAYING A GOOD VAMPIRE?
(Laughs) It was fun, it was the joy of having all this super-power strength and the knowledge of knowing you can’t really die unless another vampire comes at you and annihilate you but being Emmet they really can't do that to me!

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE SCENE TO SHOOT?
Favorite scene to shoot, I would have to say (pause) probably the ballet scene, that's where I was rigged and we did a lot of stunts and that’s my forte - I love doing stunts and getting dirty and hurting myself so it was really fun when we jumped off the balcony. You land on the ground fifteen feet below but it's really a free fall because we have to act like vampires so it’s that rush of being safe but not feeling safe!

HAVE YOU READ THE BOOKS?
Ah yeah I have actually, I read them once I was doing the movie and I read them again recently. It's really great to see the direction that Catherine took with it because its difficult turning the book into a movie, five hundreds pages into a one hundred and twenty page screenplay. So with seeing all the characters that have been cast, and re-reading the book again, it’s really cool.

WHAT WAS IT LIKE WORKING WITH CATHERINE?
She's a firecracker, she’s amazing. It was great to work with someone who I really admire – I Iove Thirteen and Lords of Dogtown, so to work with her and her whole style was really cool and she had a lot of personality and a lot of spunk so it made work not seem like work.

WHAT WAS IT LIKE WORKING WITH KRISTEN AND ROB?
Kristen and Rob? Oh Rob? I love that kid, I mean I have a lot of London friends, who are just different from American friends, you know - just how people relate and live their lives, so he's a rock star and just makes being around him so energetic and so much fun. Kristen is so mature and a brilliant actress and a brilliant person to communicate with and go out to dinner and hear her story and just goof around with.

WHAT OTHER PROJECTS DO YOU HAVE IN THE WORK? WHAT'S COMING UP FOR YOU?
Currently I'm working on 90210 which is a blast - I mean working on the zip code is always fun and my character is a mean lacrosse player who steals girls and fights with all the other guys. I’m also currently working on Warrior, it's a movie about lacrosse and where it originated and the history and the native American culture of it and hopefully Val Kilmer is going to sign-on to play my dad - it would be amazing to work with him.

TELL US ANY BEHIND THE SCENES STORIES THAT STAND OUT IN YOUR MIND.
Um, behind the scenes stories... the most fun one that comes to mind is when we had like really good weather, which is not good for us because we're vampires and we need to have the bad stormy clouds, you know - cloud coverage and we had no clouds for a couple of hours but we needed to do this outside shot, so Catherine had all the extras do a cloud dance! She fed them M&Ms to get them in the mood and gave them Redbulls and it was just really cool to have a director who, who's very hands on and would get in there and get dirty.

ce qu'il préfère c'est les cascades, ça m'étonne pas de lui, c'est son côté un peu bourrin qui ressort.

DE QUOI PARLE TWILIGHT?
C'est un film d'action teinté d'amour du type Roméo et Juliette entre une mortelle et un immortel. C'est la lutte pour l'amour entre une fille et un vampire, et à travers cette quête pour l'amour ultime fil y a de mauvaises choses qui se passent

QUE VA AIMER LE PUBLIC DANS CE FILM?
Je pense qu'ils vont aimer beaucoup de choses, le film a de nombreux niveaux, il y a beaucoup d'action pour les mecs, donc moi étant un fan d'action nous avons tourné beaucoup de scènes d'action! Pour les romantiques, il y a une histoire d'amour à la Roméo et Juliette entre Bella et Edward. On ne s'ennuie jamais, on est sur une montagne russe

PARLEZ NOUS DE VOTRE PERSONNAGE
J'incarne Emmet Cullen, c'est le grand frère de la famille , il a bien conscience qu'il est immortel et apprécie d'être un vampire,contrairement aux autres membres de sa famille . Ils apprécient certains aspects mais Edward est très sentimental et voudrait mourir ou redevenir mortel c'est pourquoi il ne veut pas transformer Bella. Je suis le grand frère rigolo qui aime la bagarre et s'éclate en tant que vampire

QU EST CE QUE CELA FAIT DE JOUER UN GENTIL VAMPIRE?
(Rires) C'était rigolo, c'est génial d'avoir ces super pouvoirs et savoir qu'on ne peut pas mourir à moins qu'un autre vampire vienne et vous réduise en poussière mais étant donné que je suis Emmet ils ne peuvent pas faire ça .

QUELLE SCENE AVEZ VOUS PREFERER TOURNER?
Heu je dirais (pause) la scène dans le studio de danse, c'est là où l'on a fait de nombreuses cascades et c'est mon point fort – J'adore faire des cascades, me salir et me blesser donc c'était vraiment génial quand on a sauté des balcons. Vous atterrissez 5 mètres plus bas mais en délicatesse car vous êtes un vampire donc vous vous sentez en sécurité mais sans vraiment l'être!

AVEZ VOUS LU LES LIVRES?
Ah oui, Dès que j'ai su que je faisais le film je les ai lus et récemment je les ai relus. C'est vraiment super de voir la direction prise par t Catherine car c'est difficile de transcrire un ;livre à l'écran , 500 pages en un script de 120 pages . Donc au vue des personnes qui ont été choisi et près avoir relu les livres , c'est cool

COMMENT C ETAIT LE TRAVAIL AVEC CATHERINE?
Elle est géniale, extraordinaire. C'était super de travailler avec quelqu'un qu'on admire – J'ai adoré Thirteen et Lords of Dogtown, donc travailler avec elle et s'adapter à son style c'était vraiment cool et elle a beaucoup de personnalité et de cran donc avec elle on n'avait pas l'impression de travailler

ET TRAVAILLLER AVEC KRISTEN ET ROB?
Kristen et Rob? Oh Rob? J'adore ce gars, j'ai beaucoup d'amis à Londres, qui sont complètement différents de mes amis aux USA, vous savez- comment les gens se voient et vivent leurs vies, donc c'est une rock star et être à ses côtés c'est énergisant et marrant. Kristen est si mature , c'est une brillante actrice qui sait dialoguer , avec qui on peut aller diner l'écouter et se marrer

QUELS SONT VOS AUTRES PROJETS?
Actuellement je travaille sur 90210 ( cf remake de Beverly Hills) qui est un phénomène – travailler dans cette ville c'est le pied et mon personnage est un méchant jouer de crosse qui vole les filles et se bats avec les autres mecs Je travaille aussi sur Warrior, c'est un film sur ce sport , ses origines et l'histoire des indiens et de leur culture et je suis plein d'espoir car Val Kilmer est sur le point de signer -pour jouer mon père -ce serait génial de jouer avec lui

RACONTEZ NOUS LE DESSOUS DE CERTAINES SCENES
Huh . Le plus rigolo c'est lors d'une scène où nous avions du bon temps , ce qui n'était pas bien car nous sommes des vampires et il nous faut un temps nuageux , vous savez quoi d'épais nuages et il n'y avait pas un seul nuage pendant des heures mais il nous fallait tourner ce plan extérieur, donc Catherine ha demandé à tous les figurants de faire la danse de la pluie! Elle les a nourri avec des M&Ms pour les mettre dans l'ambiance a et leur a fait boire du Redbulls et c'était cool d'avoir un réalisateur, qui se salit les mains et s'investit à fond

et une fois de plus je fais ma pierre richard, ça faisait quelques jours

Kellan Lutz and Edi Gathegi have made an appearance in Australia to sign autographs for tons of fans that showed up for the release of Twilight DVD in Koalabearland. Check out all 21 shots over at Zimbio. Livenews Australia has a story about the pair showing up in Syndney–

Lutz, 24, said he had a lot of time for the fans.
“They’re so sweet and they’re so loving with us,” Lutz said.
“It’s always great to talk to them and see how their experience is watching movies.”
Lutz, who has also been romantically linked to co-star Ashley Green, described the film as a “golden ticket” but said he was amazed about some of the things that were said about him.
“I’ve got a lot of friends where if we go out … people will be like Kellan’s dating her now. Kellan has three girlfriends now,” he said.
“Soon I’ll be married to Britney Spears or something like that.”
Over the weekend, Lutz will make appearances at Twilight-themed proms in Sydney and Melbourne.

Toute l'interview était sur Robert, ils doivent être bien préparé ses partenaires de tournage parce-que bon c'est comme si on te demandait "et comment va ta soeur" sans même te le demander à toi... Je veux dire par là que la "vie" (ou l'avis ) des autres acteurs m'interresse aussi.
